Yes, indeed! What’s not to love??
After all, soup can be oh-so nourishing & satisfying & comforting & hydrating & healing & abounding with endless possibilities, even fitting to our Lenten practices! …As well as being economical, practical and convenient; wonderful for making in advance, too.
So for our “Soup-of-the-Day” feature (ongoing),
I would like to share with you various recipes that I find online & collect,
worthy of that description above!
…Starting with a soup that I, myself, look forward to trying very soon, especially for this coming Lent, which begins February 10th this year. [For Catholics, Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting & abstinence; with all Fridays during Lent days of abstinence as well.]

Yet, still, ever-more reason to love our “Soup of the Day” is for its potential health-benefits, as many studies do indicate that increasing our consumption of plant foods like cabbage decreases our risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, overall premature mortality, & more!
And cabbage is especially lovable for its vitamin C, vitamin K, antioxidants, fiber (+ other nutrients); as well as for its known cancer-fighting compounds [such as DIM (3,3′-diindolylmethane), sulforaphane, apigenin]; and beneficial probiotics when in fermented form!
Now that truly is “Mmm, Mmm, Good-ness”!
