Our “Yes” to a New Way

“Zacchaeus, come down quickly, for today I must stay at your house.” [Luke 19:5]

I really wasn’t planning on posting tonight, but when I read the Scripture reflection for today, within the Living Faith booklet, I couldn’t help but see a connection to an important element of “The Way to Nourish for Life” philosophy.

The reflection was entitled: “Our ‘Yes’ to a New Life” (by Fr. Kenneth E. Grabner), which pointed out how Jesus had chosen to be with Zacchaeus; and it was Zacchaeus’ whole-hearted “yes”, in response, that transformed his life.

So, you may ask, what does this have to do with nutrition, and my “way of wellness” here that I believe so strongly in?  Well, we also have a choice to make.  It begins with a decision… a yes.  And it can be in this “yes’—to accepting a new way of nourishing [body, mind, & soul]—that we, too, can be transformed to a new life  How great is that?!  −EF

  1. As Catholics, we know that everything in this world points to our Lord, including nutrition and dieting, because all of this is his creation.
